Public Notice - Pelican Harbor Apartments is accepting applications

The Orange County Housing Authority (OCHA) will begin accepting applications for Project Based Voucher (PBV) units for seniors experiencing homelessness on April 29, 2024. The project, hereafter known as Pelican Harbor, is located at 18431 Beach Blvd., Huntington Beach CA 92648, and will have thirty-three (33) one-bedroom units available for seniors’ experiencing homelessness.

Admission preference for twenty-one (21) units will be given to applicants aged 62 and older, who are experiencing homelessness, eligible for services under the Special Needs Housing Program, No Place Like Home, and referred by the Orange County Coordinated Entry System (CES) to OCHA.  Admission preference for the remaining twelve (12) units will be given to applicants aged 62 and older and are experiencing homelessness.  CES will verify homeless preference eligibility prior to referral to OCHA. 

Individuals who are 62 years or older, at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness, currently on OCHA’s Housing Choice Voucher waiting list and interested in applying for Pelican Harbor Senior Apartments may dial 2-1-1 to be connected to an access point for households experiencing homelessness.

When calling 2-1-1 please ask to be connected to a CES access point and 2-1-1 staff will provide you the contact information for the provider most appropriate to your circumstances in your service area. You may need to leave a message for a call back for an assessment appointment.
