The County of Orange Housing and Community Development
Department is updating its Contractors Bidder’s
List and is currently soliciting contractors for the following
trades to participate in the Agency’s Housing Preservation
Program:
General Construction
Mobile Home Construction
Roofing
Electrical
Plumbing
Painting
Masonry
Heating
Contractors placed on the list will be afforded opportunity
to bid on projects involving the rehabilitation of residential
structures owned by private individuals residing within
the jurisdiction of the County’s Urban County Program.
Minority and Woman Contractors are encouraged to apply.
Contractors must have a valid California Estate Contractors
License, a Home Improvement Certificate, a minimum of
$1,000,000 (Property Damage) Liability Insurance and Worker’s
Compensation Insurance. Jobs exceeding $25,000 may require
performance bonds equal to 100% of the contract value.

Homeless Prevention centrally
coordinates the preservation and expansion of the County’s
Continuum of Care System for the homeless which focuses
on homeless prevention, outreach and assessment, emergency
shelter, transitional housing, supportive services, and
permanent supportive housing..
